We woke up to snow on the ground today. For the first time in a long time, I managed to get the winter tires on our van AND the sprinklers blown out before it snowed. I feel like I should buy a lottery ticket or something.

Related to the annoying lights on every electronic thing—the Eero 6+ pucks have a setting for each one that lets you decide if you want the status light on or not. It’s also interesting to see which devices connect to which puck in your house, it’s not always the nearest puck.
Every review of a bedside charging brick should state whether it has a light on it that can’t be turned off. If it does, the review should just read “nope”.

I love that Buttondown lets you set a canonical URL for each newsletter you send out, that way you can have a blog post at your website with the same (or similar) content that gets the traffic when subscribers click for a web version.
If Twitter thinks paying $1 will deter bot makers on Twitter, clearly they’ve never been to a concert where someone’s paid over $300 to get so drunk they can’t remember where they are only to get thrown out after three songs.
