Finally getting around to checking out Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. The first episode was a lot of fun. If the rest of the series is like this, I can understand why so many folks have been raving about it. Even got a “It’s ok” from my moody pre-teen. 😆

Being able to right click on a layer and click “remove background” and it just works™ right away is still a thing that breaks my brain a little even though kids today think it’s just absolutely normal to do that in a second on any image anywhere.

I agree with Colbert - Americans can’t take Trump seriously but not literally like they did in Trump 1.0. You need to take him seriously and literally. He’s figured out how to actually do the crazy, messed up shit he wanted to do the first time but wasn’t set up then to make it all happen.

I thought you used to be able to confirm Apple Pay on a Mac with your iPhone? Why can I confirm a purchase on $200 Apple TV hardware, but I can’t do the same on my $3,000 Apple Mac Studio unless I buy a $179 Magic Keyboard with Touch ID?

Being someone who can often catastrophize about things, it was super helpful to get to edit a podcast with a host + guest who also catastrophize. Hearing how they’ve been able to manage and work through getting to the other side of those thoughts is super helpful.

If I was the CEO of Notion, I’d spend the next 6 - 12 months focusing on making the app as fast as possible, while adding as few new features as possible. The main struggle I see from my tech / webdev circles is complaints about how sluggish Notion is.

For the last 4 springs, we’ve had issues with water filling up a basement window well. I always assumed it was our issue, but in the fall the neighbours on that side moved out and new ones moved in… and during this latest melting season, we’ve barely had any water stick around. Coincidence?
