Dude… c’mon you’re killing my name search ability. 🌿

“This is the year of video in podcasting” might actually finally be true for 2024. More and more of my clients are asking for video - snippets at least - than ever have before. Full video shows often fizzle out when the time / $ start to add up, but maybe it’ll be different this year?

No fire in our fireplace this morning, but gotta give them credit for the expiry date being accurate.

A D battery with an expiration date of December 2023.

Woof. I don’t know that we can ever put this back in the box, but…

Excited to announce v(1.0) of Digi, the future of AI Romantic Companionship, for IOS and Android 🤖&10;&10;Site: digi.ai&10;Twitter: @digiaiapp &10;&10;A quick thread on features, and where we go from here (1/13)

I’m begging a company to just try making a really good dumb tv in 2024 and see how it sells. Apple does fairly well in other areas like this. I think it could work in tv.

🍋 It’s late Friday afternoon somewhere, so here’s a reminder of the weekly newsletter I send out. The most recent issue just went to inboxes but you can check it out and decide if it’s worth signing up for.

“Oh no! I’ve taken too much dip and need more chips.”

“Oh no! I’ve got too many chips, and now I need more dip.”

(Repeat all Xmas season long.)

It’s all kinds of messed up here. No snow. +5C in December. Feels like fall but it’s less than 2 weeks until Xmas. I’m caught up on work, but feel like I’m forgetting 10 things.

I probably need more eggnog.

Found this quote said by my youngest a year ago that’s still true today: “At least when you were a kid you didn’t have to deal with Elon Musk.” 😆

“The Year Twitter Died” from The Verge is worth a visit for some bizarro web design vibes and storytelling.

The key to being able to eat a lot of cheese over the holidays is to slice it really thin. The thinner the cheese, the less fatty it is. Thus you can eat more cheese. 🎯

I really have no idea why The Marvels didn’t do better in theatres. It was fun, light, and didn’t drag everything out with mountains of superhero exposition babble. Iman Vellani as Ms. Marvel is a breath of uncynical enthusiastic fresh air.

Plus the flerkens.

I’m convinced they could re-release Beatles Rock Band and make $$$ again with the same exact game. Every generation of gamers needs a Rock Band guitar in their kit.

I hope Tim Cook and Tim Epic Games Guy are happy that they had their big lawyer fight and so now I can’t join my kids in playing LEGO Fortnite on my $3,500 Mac Studio.

Kids can be annoying and frustrating and exhausting… yes. But sometimes they make delicious muffins you get to enjoy with your coffee. 🤤

Top down view of muffins with butter, a knife, and a container of more muffins.

I hadn’t realized that by choosing to work from home, I’d also signed up to be my mom’s delivery drop off location. 😆

Contract negotiation tip: If you promise a cheeseburger for a goal, figure out in advance what happens if your kid gets a hat trick. 🍔🍔🍔

We’re currently using a 3GB / 30 day data plan with Public Mobile for our oldest. Anyone have better Canadian mobile rates for their kids?

Instead of sending my newsletter on Friday like usual, I sent it on Saturday morning just like I totally planned to do. Here’s this week’s issue if you’re curious, or want to sign up. 🍋🎉
