A Test Of My Microblog Podcasting System

It’s been over a month and Apple podcast Connect still hasn’t approved this podcast to be viewed in Apple Podcasts so I’m testing out this episode to see if I can get it to work.

I know this is a pedantic things I just need to get over… but whenever I hear or (especially) read someone refer to their podcast or a podcast episode as “…the pod”, I feel the need to scream really loudly at the wall for 5 seconds.

I sometimes think one of the people on the podcast I’m editing are un-listening, over-talking jerks—when in actuality I moved their track ahead by accident.

Always check to make sure tracks are aligned appropriately. 😆

Screenshot of Logic Pro editing two tracks where one track is very clearly off from the other track.

Via @manton - the omg.lol folks are adding a micro podcasting feature called Spake. I love this kind of experimentation in audio and podcasting.

Quickly mowed the lawn before more rain hits this afternoon. Now I’m a sweaty mess and putting on headphones to edit podcasts isn’t a great experience. 🥵

I hate trying to pick out music beds for my own podcast ideas. I love something and think it’s amazing on the first 10 listens, and then on the 11th I hear how cheesy, awkward, and just not right it is.

Even for show ideas that just end up in the bin. 😆

Rather than trying to reinvent the wheel on “how to podcast”, I generally send people to Transistor’s excellent How to Start a Podcast series they’ve put together. It’s a great primer on all things podcasting from start to finish.

Oooh Pocket Casts (my podcast app of choice) added a browser extension so you can subscribe on the web and have it easily show up in your app later. Nifty.

It’s been a while since I’ve added a new podcast to Apple’s Podcasts Connect site manually. Is it normally a 2-3 day process? I’m just trying to get my Micro.blog podcast feed in there which works fine.

Welcome To My Micro Podcast!

Podcasting is now included in Micro.blogs $5/month or $50 a year plan so I thought I’d try it out. Hello world!
