Apple has released iOS17 (and watchOS, tvOS, HomePod, etc.) today. Be sure to check out the new AirDrop animation. ✨

I realized why Friday seemed to go so smoothly and it’s because I forgot about editing a podcast episode that’s due first thing Monday morning. Luckily something triggered my brain to think about it.

Costco queso dip to the rescue for some late night editing. πŸ˜‹

I love Maggie Appleton’s website. Both the design and UI, as well as very smart words.

All I’m asking for is if I do a Google search in Safari, my Mac Studio M2 Max powered computer from the future doesn’t have to spin up my external hard drives to do that. Is that too much to ask?

I guess I should’ve gone for 64GB of RAM.

I see Substack in the URL, I get an ick and wait for the pop up while I’m reading the words you wrote deciding if it’s worth hanging around.

I see Buttondown in the URL, I’m likely subscribing because I know you care about your readers.

Any podcast nerds know if a USB-C enabled iOS device (iPad? iPhone 15?) can just take a USB-C mic plugged in directly as a recording device? Because that would make your phone a pretty slick mobile recorder paired with something like a Shure MV7.

Any friends running Audio Hijack, Loopback, Farrago, or other awesome Rogue Amoeba software - check their status page for updates for macOS 14 (Sonoma) which is coming out next week I believe.

I don’t know what they are because I only hear the words “web components” on podcasts I edit, but the newly launched Luro “…is a no-code solution to track component usage, adoption, and success across your entire product.”

Plus it looks great. πŸ’―

Just one time I want to hear: “This is by far our second best iPhone lineup yet - second only to the iPhone lineup we had in 2019. That was such a great year.”
