How long until Apple resurrects the original iSight camera to bundle with AppleTV purchases? 😆
This morning was the first time since I started these stupid walks for my stupid mental health that I almost felt like I was looking forward to today’s walk.
I don’t want to jinx it or anything. It’s still stupid.
In all the discussion of Apple’s Vision Pro announcement, it’s clear not enough of you watched Upload on Prime.
Admittedly a privileged perspective (Ben Thompson is a tech writer and podcaster, appears to have a lot of money, etc.), but his vision of Apple Vision is both compelling and sad at the same time.
I’m not saying it is the future for sure or that Apple has it nailed, but if you haven’t experienced a VR headset in your home yet you really don’t know what to expect. My kid has a Quest 2 and it was very weird at first, and has gotten very normal very quickly.
I can’t wait until I don’t have to actually go for stupid walks for my stupid mental health and can just imagine myself walking in Apple VR. In the meantime… 🚶♀️
Buried in my podcast editing contract is a bullet point that reads “if you imitate a wrestler from the 80’s or 90’s at any point in your podcast, I am obligated to include a snippet of their entrance music”. I’ve never had to act on that… until today.
Happy ~2 hours to go until WWDC 2023 for fellow Apple nerds out there. Everything rumored looks interesting and fun, though I suspect the reality will be somewhat less as the rumour mill has been going overtime on AR / VR stuff. Excited to see what happens.
I hope I never get so cynical and bored with life that I can’t see a beautiful experience when it’s right in front of me. People are allowed to not enjoy a TV series like Ted Lasso, but the way some loved season 1 and hated season 3 is something I can’t connect with.
I stood next to the supervisor of the Dr. Strange show at Disneyland as he checked off items in the show in Notes on an iPad.
I asked “Even Avengers run on Notes?” He replied “You have no idea.”
Me all winter: “I’m going to spend all summer outside and never miss an opportunity to be outside and hot.”
Me on the second week of warm weather: “The basement is my home now. The sun is evil and must be avoided.”
Today for something different we’re going to mow the stupid lawn for our stupid mental health, ok? Not ruling out a walk later, but sitting in a stupid chair on the stupid deck might be a better option today. 🌞
