Aw dang I’d forgotten how much I love Gang of Youths, and this album in particular.

Beauty of a #sunset for today’s selfie a day for a year, day 149, Jan 14, 2026 edition.

A person with glasses and a beard is standing on a snowy balcony at sunset, wearing a shirt with netlify on it.

I had originally recorded this quick tutorial to show my kid’s how easy it is to grab the various stems (aka tracks) from a song in Logic Pro. But in light of Apple’s announcement today, I figured I should make it public just to show what can be done without “AI” branding or subscriptions. 😆

One reason I won’t upgrade to the Apple Creator Studio bundle is so I can hang on to Pixelmator Pro’s app icon. The new one is garbage. (old / new)

Pixelmator Pro’s app icon for macOS with a paintbrush and colour pallette lookPixelmator Pro’s new app icon on macOS is a rounded square with a floating border square and some lines?

I’ve been pleasantly surprised that Apple held on to buy once pricing for pro apps like Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro for as long as they did. With their new Creator Studio bundle I’m glad they’ve made it about AI more than the app’s core features. We’ll see how long that lasts.

I want whatever the web tech is called where I can highlight some text in a text field and paste a URL and have it automagically create a link for the text I highlighted everywhere. Every text box all the time.

Except if I don’t want it to do that. Be smart about it internet.

Post walk+snow shovel+toque head Monday vibes to bring back my #selfie project after taking the weekend off.

Hey it might be time to change your furnace filter.
