We really liked The Afterparty (both seasons). Sad to hear it won’t be getting a third season, but it’s also great as it was so hopefully Apple doesn’t just remove it completely one day.

Elgato announced new teleprompter hardware, creatively called “Prompter”. Paired with their webcam, naturally, it makes for a nice eye line for zoom calls, presentations, or live streams.

Parenting tip: iOS17’s Assistive Access mode is great for accessibility (seniors, etc.) but also great as a consequence for a teen using their phone in a way they aren’t supposed to.

Screenshot of an iOS 17 layout with Assistive Access enabled which has massive buttons for basic apps only (Camera, Messages, Calls, Photos, Music)

I don’t like my sausage half cocked. 😆

FB post showing sausages wrapped with a caption reading “Fully cocked beef sausage Mennonite style.”

One of the things I didn’t appreciate about an e-reader is how having the book cover on the device reminds me that I have a book to read in a way that Libby on my iPhone never has. My iPhone reminds me of the time. Of messages. Of reminders.

My Kobo reminds me of a story to be read.

A coffee mug sits next to a Kobo Libra 2 with the cover of “When Women Were Dragons” by Kelly Barnhill on its display.

“Have no Sphere, all of us and you too are here.” Hockey Night in Canada with the bad U2 puns following a “Beautiful Day” intro.

I picked up a 3 pack of the eero 6+ wifi routers and I’m just annoyed I didn’t do it sooner to help fix some dead zones in our house.

I know it isn’t Apple’s way of doing business, but I still maintain that selling Apple TV hardware at a loss would benefit their entire ecosystem. If there were Apple TV’s most places there’s an iPhone, game developers would want to develop for the platform like an Xbox or Switch.

Threads has added the ability to dictate a voice “thread” and edit the transcription so naturally I posted the wicked witch argument audio as a thread, as one does.
