I don’t care whether you dig Pomplamoose, but just know that what they’re putting out on TikTok (and elsewhere I’m sure) is the template for what many fans of bands / musicians wish they could watch their fav band do.

If you can’t get your “everything Apple announced at WWDC 2024” video in under 23.2 seconds, I’m not watching it.

Based on nothing more than the keynote video, I do feel like Apple Intelligence hits closer to the “why can’t AI make my day to day life easier instead of creating weird looking artwork?” vibe than anything else I’ve seen from other AI start ups.

It still can’t do the laundry though.

Me: i think I’ll check out the lyrics to this song and then go back to adding more songs to my queue.

Apple Music: The hell you will. Good luck getting out of the lyrics view without skipping around the song and eventually rage quitting the app entirely.

Being able to lock any app behind Face ID is pretty slick actually. I love VoiceNotes, but have started to wonder about security of private thoughts being wide open to anyone (kids) on my phone.

“I’m in the business of losing your interest And I turn a profit each time that we speak”

Such a good lyric. Well done Noah Kahan.

I know everyone’s been waiting for it, but I finally published my WWDC 2024 wishlist, Vision Pro edition. If you don’t have a Vision Pro, you can’t read it. 😜

Every parent thinking “Well at least my kid never used this parental control bug to get around our settings” — yes they did. 😆

Quickly mowed the lawn before more rain hits this afternoon. Now I’m a sweaty mess and putting on headphones to edit podcasts isn’t a great experience. 🥵

I hate trying to pick out music beds for my own podcast ideas. I love something and think it’s amazing on the first 10 listens, and then on the 11th I hear how cheesy, awkward, and just not right it is.

Even for show ideas that just end up in the bin. 😆

Rather than trying to reinvent the wheel on “how to podcast”, I generally send people to Transistor’s excellent How to Start a Podcast series they’ve put together. It’s a great primer on all things podcasting from start to finish.

New on the blog: Apple TV+ Needs a Button.

Somehow I missed that Apple TV+ has a Murderbot series in production, with Alexander Skarsgård set to star.

In an alternate universe, @ultranurd@tacobelllabs.net and I are still complaining about the lack of Apple TV updates on an episode of 25c.

A simpler phone screen time system would be if it would only unlock all the time suck apps once you completed the Wordle, Connections, or Quartiles. Or maybe all three?

It feels like the notifications are tuned a little high in Quartiles on Apple News. My wife sat down and started after me and it notified me she had beaten my score even though we were just starting. 😝

Oooh Pocket Casts (my podcast app of choice) added a browser extension so you can subscribe on the web and have it easily show up in your app later. Nifty.
