Microposts
I had the opportunity to play bass again this week (I’m normally a guitar player), and it always amazes me how different a skill set it is from guitar. It’s somehow more relaxing to play, while also having so much to learn.

I’m checking out a “record a voicemail so I can respond to it on my podcast” app—send me your thoughts or AMA.
The ability to unlock my computer automatically with the Apple Watch is a more important invention than the Vision Pro.
Costco Canada heads up: a recall on eggs with potential salmonella issues. It feels like a huge waste for them to toss so many eggs (I assume?), but also not worth the health risk obviously.
Manton on Bluesky’s federation - I’m just going to keep shouting that Micro.blog is the best way to own your stuff while still supporting all the things in a slow, intentional way until you listen to me.
I’m nowhere near able to consider buying a Vision Pro, but if I did have one, I’d be checking out Adam Lisagor’s new app called Television. Rather than just generic floating UI screen, using the past to help inform our future.
It’s so annoying how if I focus on the task at hand it goes so much quicker, I can get more done, and have more time to relax later. Right now I’m not focusing on the task and it’s much more fun.
I love the new simplified pricing flow micro.blog. I agree with Manton: one of the best deals on the web.
Fesshole on Mastodon (maybe elsewhere?) is a great follow for PostSecret fans of old.
I don’t know how it should be done, but it feels like a community of people celebrating new things but never acknowledging the bodies that fell or were pushed off the bus on the way to that new thing is lacking something in the way of empathy or love.
Hey Mr. LinkedIn, If I write a post with AI, what’s the point of me actually being here anymore? Sincerely: humans.

The two monsters inside of me:
- One that craves time alone to just do whatever I feel like.
- One that’s angry with the world for leaving me alone and making me feel invisible.
…but I’ve also been exploring Ghost and Matt’s post on his move to Ghost comes at a perfect time.
I’m swinging back around to the idea that I should just have my blog and main site on Micro.blog. I overthink it until I do nothing so we’ll see where I’m at by Sunday. 😆
I heard a Kansas City tiktoker I follow say this about the shooting there, and it resonates as strongly with what’s happening with the Sask Party’s leadership here in Saskatchewan: “I’m so tired of living under the tyranny of our nation’s dumbest people.”
When it comes to managing my own website, sometimes it’d be easier to not know what I sort of know, ya know? If my brain wasn’t filled with CSS HTML standards accessibility optimization speed search engine buzzwords, I’d just slap up a PDF with my services and be done. 😆
