Podcasting
New blog post: Batman: Year One Podcast
MicDrop looks like a must have for any USB mic using podcaster or livestreamer - now with Stream Deck support, which feels odd because why not just use the Stream Deck’s mic mute button?
Here’s yesterday’s recording of Tim and I chatting about his DJI cam and mic’s, thoughts on YouTube podcasting, when podcast audio is bad enough to stop listening, and 2 minutes on 🇨🇦🇺🇸politics. 😆
I’m live now on Twitch talking with Tim about his new gear, podcasts on YouTube, and what makes a podcast episode unlistenable.
Someday I need to add up how many people actually listen (or are subscribed) to all the various podcasts I edit for clients each week. I think it would actually freak me out to know how big the number is. 😆
I’m not sure what these are exactly, but I’ve really enjoyed the podcast-related conversations I’ve been having with Tim each week on my Twitch channel. Here’s yesterday’s chat up on YouTube if you want to check it out but I feel like it’s mainly for me. 😜
I’m going to be live this afternoon talking with my friend Tim about ideas for podcasts around 1:45pm CST / 3:45pm EST. Lurk or join the chat over on Twitch.
If a podcast I’m editing references it, I’m required to post it: Ludacris Llama Llama Red Pajama Freestyle
Being someone who can often catastrophize about things, it was super helpful to get to edit a podcast with a host + guest who also catastrophize. Hearing how they’ve been able to manage and work through getting to the other side of those thoughts is super helpful.
Now I really need to update my “you’re getting a little Skype-y” phrase when a remote podcast recording isn’t coming through properly: Skype is shutting down on May 5th.
Is there any decent #WordPress themes out there that aren’t just blocks and patterns that force you to build your own website? I want a theme that’s opinionated and decides all that crap for me so I can just throw my work details in and get back to editing podcasts. Anyone?
AI is taking over podcasting with it’s giant microphone and piercing, dead eyes.
Also be sure your podcast is inclusive of people with three legs.
