Nodding along to Leah Reich’s thoughts here: We don’t need no innovation.

What I want are products and experiences that feel human. I want innovation that is constrained by human need and human behavior, rather than innovation that requires human need and human behavior to adapt themselves to it.

Very important tech issue: why does Balatro for macOS (Apple Arcade) not respect “Windowed” as a setting? It desperately wants to always be full screen on it’s own desktop space.

Screenshot of Balatro+ settings on macOS showing that it’s in Windowed mode but still full screen.

Sorry, no live stream today. 3 kids + a friend + a dog means I have a 100% chance of being interrupted. I couldn’t even finish writing this without a “Dad! Neville is outside!” 😆

I’m glad the AI machine overlords are able to pick out the important bits from podcasts. 🤖💨

As silly as Apple’s Apple Intelligence is at times, when I see stuff like OpenAI removing any sort of safeguards on their product in the pursuit of profit, I think in the long run Apple may be making the right choice to go super slow.

I’m with Louie Mantia, Imran Chaudhri & Humane ripped people off so they could cosplay as Steve Jobs for a few years. (my words, not Louie’s).

There’s a million more important things that need to be dealt with, but if someone could tell the sitting US President to stop being a petty man baby and referring to our Canadian Prime Minister as governor, when he knows full well what the title is, I’d really appreciate it.

I don’t know how or when US citizens move from posting “oh wow I can’t believe this is happening” to figuring out how to stop it, but I sure hope the rest of the world doesn’t have to wait 4 years for them to maybe figure out how not to vote in a dictatorship again.

One of those days where I can’t wait until it’s time to play a round of Balatro and fall asleep. Whatever gets me to warm temperatures faster right now tbh.

It only takes a few clicks to see this is a satirical account, and yet because of the reality of American politics in 2025, it’s difficult to know that.

Tweet from an account called Rep. Jack Kimble&10; reading: Canadians are quick to forget that it's our military that protects them. We're the only thing standing between them and a hostile Iceland. In fact, the main reason that President Trump wants to buy Greenland is to make sure that they are never a threat to Canadian sovereignty.
