Sad to see that Micro.blog has to disable cross-posting to Twitter, but I understand why. El0n has made it untenable for not-uber rich apps to be able to use the service.

Luckily, there’s Bluesky, Nostr, and other services are still supported.

I forgot to post today, but I did go for a stupid walk. I walked to check out my kid’s band recital. Elementary school band is something special. Luckily I didn’t get vertigo this time from all the different time signatures and keys being played at once.

Incredible to watch Reddit just shit on one of the more popular apps that their own community loves and uses. Imagine looking at what El0n and Twitter did and thinking “Hmm - yes. That seems like a great idea.” 🤦‍♂️

I saw this headline go by and thought “Yep, that’s my province.” and never read the article. Turns out, as many have pointed out, only 330 people were surveyed with a margin of error of +/- 4 per cent. In a province of over a million. 🫤

One anecdotal sign that Apple+ and MLS is a good partnership, for his birthday my nephew asked for Apple Store gift cards - not to buy apps or games, but to pay for an MLS subscription. And that was before this deal with Messi was announced.

How long until Apple resurrects the original iSight camera to bundle with AppleTV purchases? 😆

This morning was the first time since I started these stupid walks for my stupid mental health that I almost felt like I was looking forward to today’s walk.

I don’t want to jinx it or anything. It’s still stupid.

In all the discussion of Apple’s Vision Pro announcement, it’s clear not enough of you watched Upload on Prime.

Admittedly a privileged perspective (Ben Thompson is a tech writer and podcaster, appears to have a lot of money, etc.), but his vision of Apple Vision is both compelling and sad at the same time.
