I picked up a 3 pack of the eero 6+ wifi routers and I’m just annoyed I didn’t do it sooner to help fix some dead zones in our house.
I know it isn’t Apple’s way of doing business, but I still maintain that selling Apple TV hardware at a loss would benefit their entire ecosystem. If there were Apple TV’s most places there’s an iPhone, game developers would want to develop for the platform like an Xbox or Switch.
I love the idea of being able to blog with WordPress on an iPad mini 34,000 feet in the air.
Threads has added the ability to dictate a voice “thread” and edit the transcription so naturally I posted the wicked witch argument audio as a thread, as one does.
Amazing. Brad Frost wants to celebrate his 40th in his hometown of Pittsburgh next August, and is doing it by putting on Frostapalooza. I’m tempted to try and make it work, if only to finally meet some of my clients in person that I’ve worked with for almost 10 years and have never actually met.
“We should probably cancel our Netflix subscription. We’re not really using it.”
(opens up Netflix to find account details)
“Oh there’s this Beckham documentary I heard about. Maybe after we finish this.”
(repeat 12x)
Does anyone enjoy “albums” on Apple Music that have videos mixed with music? I don’t know what the best way is to have videos from artists, but it feels like for playability the videos could be somewhere else?
If you’re curious about Micro.blog, check out the latest episode of ShopTalk Show where Dave and Chris interview Micro.blog’s creator, Manton Reece. They talk about features I didn’t know Micro.blog had, and I’ve been using it for a few years already.
Tempted to pick up the Elgato Wave XLR that’s on sale at Amazon for an updated USB-C preamp for my Heil PR40 mic, but the macOS support seems to be iffy in reviews. Anyone else in #podcast land have one on a Mac?
I haven’t been bitten by an iCloud bug like Dan Moran details here yet? For my business I pay for Dropbox & Drive as well, and I wish iCloud Drive had the manual control of those two services.
Just in time for Halloween, my brother-in-law has a sweet tutorial and pattern for making turtle shells out of foam floor mats.
I’m really happy iPhone camera reviews like this exist, but I’d be down to review iPhones from the perspective of someone who takes sunset photos through their window because it’s too cold outside. Call me, Apple.
Flighty remains undefeated as the best (iOS only?) app for tracking flights. It’s one of those rare apps that makes me want to do the thing it’s designed for more.
I love Savvycal for calendar booking, but I’m checking out Flexibits Fantastical and I’m not sure why I wouldn’t just use that for less? Anyone tried Fantastical’s scheduling feature?
I wonder how much editing was done to episode 2 of #Survivor after episode 1 was so widely panned as a terrible intro to the season? Or is ep 2 locked and loaded and they don’t touch it based on response to ep1?
What do I do? Where do I post? How do I do social media anymore?
- Stop freaking out.
- Sign up for a Micro.blog account.
- Syndicate from there out to whatever is the latest thing.
- Relax and / or profit.
I realize it probably couldn’t replace the stock bookshelf functionality on Micro.blog, but I’m loving how Hardcover is to reading as Letterboxd is to movies.
