Who are people talking to on phones while wandering airports? I’ve never been phoned by someone who’s in an airport. Just a text saying “where are you? We’ve landed.”

I’m really glad they’re filming Bono’s Stories of Surrender show for release eventually - possibly AppleTV+.

It really sucks so many people had to have their plans disrupted by the potential strike, but I’m thankful the pilot union and owners of Westjet came to an agreement at the last minute so flights can continue.

It’s in the fourth overtime of a playoff game, and the cameras just caught a fan fast asleep right behind the Florida bench. 😆 😴

If you’re a guest on someone’s podcast, it’s important to remember that fact: you’re the guest. Even though you’re brought on to tell your story or be an expert on a topic, you’re still the guest. Try to avoid taking over the show, interrupting the host, etc. Let them lead you.

A project that was supposed to take an hour ended up taking 5. 😪 I’m trying to remain positive that the rest of the day will go better, but this month has really kicked the “it’ll all work out in the end” side of my brain to the curb.

You really haven’t felt the burn of online teens until you have a tiktok that gets pushed into the wrong part of town, and you see a whole bunch of their avatars check out your account and then nope away as quickly as possible. 😂

👴 “How do you do fellow kids?”

Going for a walk. AMA

Haven’t had any doggie interruptions on client podcasts in a while, and then randomly the last 2 episodes I’ve editing have featured some barking from furry friends.

Not a complaint. A pup is way more pleasing to hear than a lawn mower this time of year.

Cross posting this this post about cross posting by fellow Chris who ran with my initial post about cross posting in Discord.

Sometimes when I’m editing a client’s episode where they’re talking excitedly about AI replacing human jobs, I’m often reminded of Dave Rupert’s short story The Mammoth. I wonder how long until this is my reality?

Truth be told the walkers don’t need to be escorted. They could be easily be navmapped to where they need to be. In fact, they walk themselves back to the drop site after hours. But jobs like these came about as part of a federal initiative called “Humans@Work” to slow down hemorrhaging unemployment rates. Partnering with corporations and market research firms, the government developed the role of “Herder” so machines always seem as co-existing with humans. It’s supposed to help the machines seem more like useful farm animals rather than soul-less lumbering dinosaurs.

👋 to anyone needing / wanting to work late this fine Monday evening. Trying to get ahead of things a bit so that spring and summer getaways are a little easier to manage.

Carrot continues to be the best therapist I’ve yet to pay for. This is why I don’t go for walks in the woods.

carrot weather app widget that reads: “It’s the perfect day to go for a hike and get mauled by the local wildlife.”

“Apple expects to sell just one headset per day per retail store, and it has told suppliers that it expects sales of seven to 10 million units during the first year of availability.” If the $3,000 price is accurate, I look forward to the rich beta testing it for us. 💰 😝

In the past week we’ve had our 13 year old dryer and our 3 month old tv die. They don’t make them like they used to?

“Old school 80’s style selfie.” she says.

Picture of a sink with a spoon held so you can see a kid’s vague reflection in the spoon.
