Perhaps the post-football game Ice Cap was a mistake, given that I just woke up at 1am and feel itโ€™s the morning? ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I love how just when I was beginning to wonder if Audio Hijack / Loopback from Rogue Amoeba weren’t long for this world, another productivity nerd discovers them and reminds everyone about how powerful they are.

I found an app combo that makes my audio quality basically perfect in every app โ€“ OBS, Zoom, whatever.&10;&10;1. Audio Hijack โ€“ lets me add effects to my actual mic input&10;2. Loopback โ€“ turns the output from Audio Hijack into a virtual input device&10;&10;This lets you use the virtual device as your input in any other app. You can even set it as your whole system's default input.&10;&10;Result: Perfect audio at the time of recording, in any app.&10;&10;I went down a rabbit hole to set this up because I was tired of my Loom recordings sounding so much worse than my YouTube videos.&10;&10;But this also solved issues in OBS, which doesn't support all of my audio plugins for some reason.&10;&10;I'm so pleased the result that I had to shoot a little video on it:

I cancelled my Flexbits subscription today. It’s only $7/month for a great Calendar app, but something has to give with every single app or service increasing in price.
